Triumphant Woman

Our Triumphant Women Program consists of abandoned women or single mothers who are taught how to make clothes. Through this program these women build long lasting nourishing relationships along with invaluable skills which enable them to feed themselves and their families, and one day have their own small business if they should so choose to dream as big.

Among the set goals for this program is to offer hands-on tools that will enable the women to confront their real-life situations and get ahead in life. Because mentality has so much to do with this process, the women are required to take part in entrepreneurship & business classes which are imparted by our program coordinator and retired professional seamstress, Esther Gonzalez, before heading into the sewing room where all the material (including scissors, material, seam ripper, machines etc.) are ready and at their disposal. To date, over 20 women have successfully graduated from this 2-year course.

In years past, while our single moms learn to sew, their children received formational “play classes”. The importance of early childhood education is indispensable. The emotional, social and physical development of young children has a direct effect on their overall development and on the adult they will become. That is why understanding the need to invest in very young children is so important, so as to maximize their future well-being. When our number of local personnel grows we aim to continue on with this infantile play group.
