My connection to Light & Salt Ministries is through a personal connection with one of the founders, Tara Germain. Tara grew up with my children and I had the pleasure of seeing her grow into the amazing Christian, committed woman she is today. I started supporting her in her work at an orphanage before she moved to Nicaragua and set up her current mission. I have supported many different areas of their work but personally prefer to work on specific projects. I was involved in the new stoves and cooking utensils for the kitchen- I could not handle them cooking for all those boys on one burner! Presently I am working on getting sewing machines, material, and a teacher for a project that will teach the ladies to sew clothing to sell. When I start talking about these projects offers of help just start coming- from my son to my bible study group. I believe in Tara and her family’s ability to change lives with my whole heart! God is good.
